Fun in the Sun!

Last week, our family had such a great time doing some camping and some swimming and some "water parking!" It was quite an event...

We traveled down to Texas on Wednesday morning after getting all packed up. David has been so busy around here that he hasn't had time to even breathe...but we managed to get all ready and out the door around 10am.

One of the highlights of our trip was getting to visit our dear friends - Leanne & Tim Marlier! It was so neat to see some friends from my days in California - I hadn't seen them for over 17 years. It was great to catch up with them and to see what they are doing there and to also see their daughter, Jenny (whom I taught when she was 11!).

There was a big storm, so they let us sleep at their house. It really was a lot of fun.

We also went to Hurricane Harbor - a water park there in Dallas. Of course, it had a delayed opening as there was a huge storm the day before. We were so glad we did not camp out in that storm! Anyway - David kept telling us how it was really a blessing - that we would have so much fun at the water park because a lot of people will stay away! He was right! We were there for only 2.5 hours - and every ride was a walk-up with no lines!
